Transcribe

Turn any audio file into clean, editable text. Expect it to be very good but not perfect — names and mumbles trip it up sometimes, so give it a quick read-through before you share it.

Transcribing takes about as long as the audio itself — keep this window open while it works (switching tabs is fine). The first time, the engine downloads once (40 to 240 MB) and is then saved on your device.

Episodes

Every episode you save lands here — and this page is what feeds your Video and Graphics pages. Each episode keeps its title, cover, and audio together, so one tap turns it into a video or a promo graphic with nothing to re-upload. Episodes live in this browser on this device (not the cloud), so download an MP3 of anything precious.

Backup

Everything you make lives in this browser — not the cloud. A backup is one little file that keeps it all safe.

Everything you make is saved only in this browser, on this computer — not in the cloud. A backup is one small file that keeps it all safe. Good moments to grab one: after finishing an episode you care about, before clearing your browser, or before switching computers.

  1. 1
    Download a backup

Saves one small file to your Downloads.

  2. 2
    Keep it somewhere safe

A folder or cloud drive you trust — Google Drive, Dropbox, wherever you'll find it again.

  3. 3
    Bring it back anytime

New browser or computer? Tap Restore and pick your file. It only adds what's missing, so you can restore anytime without losing a thing.

FAQ

ImportantYour work lives in this browser, on this device — not the cloud. That keeps it private and yours alone — but it also means your work won't show up on a different device, and clearing your browser data will erase it. For anything precious, download a copy or use on the Backup page. Your work autosaves as a draft as you go, so a refresh won't lose your in-progress episode.
QHow do I record?

Tap the big pink mic button to start, then tap it again (now a stop square) to finish.

  • Each take becomes its own clip — record in little pieces instead of one perfect run.
  • While recording, the button pulses, a timer counts up, and the tab title shows ● recording…
  • When you stop, the quiet bits at the start and end are trimmed automatically.
  • No time limit — but a few shorter segments are easier on the browser than one marathon take.
QHow long can an episode be?
  • No hard limit — but everything happens in your browser, so very long episodes get heavier to save.
  • For the smoothest export, aim for under about 30 minutes.
  • If a big MP3 stalls, try closing other tabs and downloading again — shorter episodes export most smoothly.
QWhat if my tab crashes or closes mid-recording?

You're covered. While you record, your audio saves to this browser every few seconds, so if your laptop sleeps, the tab crashes, or you close it by accident, you won't lose the whole take — next time it'll offer to recover what it kept.

  • The tab title shows ● recording… even when you're on another tab.
  • Your browser warns you before you close or reload mid-recording.
  • Keep this tab open while recording — it survives a crash, but records best when it's the tab you're on.
QCan I check my mic or add a countdown?
  • Open the Microphone section and pick your input device.
  • Tap Test mic — the level bar should move as you talk.
  • Flip on the 3-2-1 countdown for a beat to get ready before recording starts.
QCan I import audio I already have?
  • Tap “Or import a file” under the mic, or drag an audio file straight onto your episode.
  • MP3, WAV, M4A, and OGG all work.
QHow do I build my episode?
  • Rename a clip by tapping its title.
  • Reorder clips with the ▲▼ arrows, or drag them.
  • Edit a clip to trim its start or end, tidy the quiet at either end, or add a fade in/out.
  • Intro & outro — save them once and add them with one tap, every episode.
  • Transitions — little stingers or music beds to drop between clips.
  • Polish — a gentle clean-up (clearer voice, even volume) baked into your download.
  • Preview — play the whole episode start to finish before you download.
QWhere do I plan what to say?
  • Switch the work area from Clips to Notes — a free-writing space for a loose script or a messy brain-dump.
  • Stuck? Tap a question in Add a prompt and answer it in your own words.
  • Keep Notes open while you record — everything saves automatically with your episode draft.
QWhere are my episodes saved?
  • Tap Save to your Episodes page and your finished episode lands on the Episodes page (up in the menu).
  • Episodes stay in this browser on this device — download a copy or use for anything precious.
  • Your work also autosaves as a draft as you go, so a refresh won't lose your in-progress episode.
QHow do I download my episode?
  • Your episode downloads as an MP3 — perfect for uploading straight to your podcast host.
  • With Match podcast loudness on (in Polish), exports hit the −16 LUFS standard so they sound even across apps and devices.
  • Saved cover art on the Video or Graphics page? The one you've picked is embedded in your MP3 automatically.
  • The first MP3 export needs internet for a moment to load the encoder.
QHow do I turn my audio into text?
  • Open the Transcribe page and drop in any audio — or tap “Or transcribe my current episode”. It starts on its own the moment your audio is in.
  • The first use downloads the transcription engine once (40–240 MB depending on quality) — after that it's saved on your device.
  • Transcribing takes about as long as the audio itself — keep the window open while it works; switching tabs is fine.
  • Expect it to be very good but not perfect — names and mumbles trip it up sometimes, so give it a quick read-through.
  • Quality, timestamps, and paragraph settings live in the little Options card.
QHow do I make a YouTube video of my episode?
  • Open the Video page and pick a saved episode — the title fills itself in. (You can also drop in any audio, or even an MP4 recording.)
  • Your cover, colours, and text style are remembered as your template — each new episode only needs its title.
  • Tap Make my video. The first render downloads the video engine once (~31 MB), then rendering runs much faster than watching in real time.
  • Watch it in the built-in player, then download the MP4 — or grab just the image (PNG) for pins and thumbnails.
  • Shortcut: every saved episode on the Episodes page has a 🎬 video button that jumps here with everything filled in.
QWhat's the pink Publish button for?
  • It's your one-tap shortcut to wherever you publish. Tap Set publish link once, paste the address (like podcasters.spotify.com), and name the button whatever you like.
  • From then on it opens that page in a new tab, every time.
  • Tap the ✎ pencil beside it to change the link or the name whenever you need.
QAny tips for the smoothest experience?
  • Use Chrome or Edge for the smoothest experience — recording works in Safari too.
  • The mic needs the page live on your site (or opened directly in the browser), and you'll be asked to allow the microphone the first time — say yes.
  • Record somewhere quiet with a steady internet connection, and you're golden. 💛

More info

A few simple things — please read before using.

1 · A simple agreement

The Easy Peasy Podcast Studio is a recording and editing tool made by Michelle of The Secret O.W.L. Society for students of Say Yes to Desire. By using it, you agree to the terms below.

2 · What you can do

  • Use the studio to make as many episodes as you like
  • Publish and sell what you record — everything you create here is yours, with no cut and no credit owed
  • Keep your own copy on your own devices, for your own use

3 · What you cannot do

You may not:

  • Copy, replicate, or recreate this tool or any part of it, in whole or in part
  • Redistribute, resell, gift, or share the source code, files, or visual design with anyone else
  • Repurpose the code, design, copy, or concept for your own product, client work, or template
  • Use this product or its contents to train, fine-tune, or feed any AI or machine-learning system
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any branding, attribution, or notices contained within
  • Reverse-engineer the product to build a substantially similar tool
  • Pass your studio password to anyone outside your own household

4 · Your work is yours

Every recording, episode, note and cover you make belongs to you. Nothing you record is ever sent to me or to anyone else.

5 · Offered as it is

The studio comes as-is, with no warranty. It runs entirely inside your browser, so browser updates, device storage and microphone quirks sit outside my control. Keep an MP3 and a backup file of anything precious.

You did it!
Done beats perfect.
